GEORGIES
After School Activity Programme

Parents are invited to enrol pupils attending George Street Normal School in this programme.

Please note the following:

1. Georgies is under the direct control of George Street Normal School.
2. Georgies operates every school day from 3.00pm – 5.30pm based in Room 19 (senior side of our school). 
3. Georgies is a WINZ approved activity programme for the pupils of George Street Normal School. Children will be supervised in planned and organised activities in groups of 10 or less, utilising various spaces around our school. These may include sport, dance and drama in the hall, ICT, homework and reading in the library and art, crafts, languages, cooking and technology in Room 19. Afternoon tea and the opportunity for supervised free play will also be provided. Activities will be prepared, organised and supervised by adult tutors in addition to a senior supervisor.
4. Numbers of children, age ranges and interest levels may determine what activities are organised on any particular day. A timetable of daily activities (in hourly sessions) is published each term allowing some parents to choose days on which various activities occur.
5. The cost to enrol your child in Georgies is $10 per child.
6. The cost for Georgies is $16.00 per day, or $13.00 per day per pupil for 2 or more from one family. Payment is to be made in advance of every booked session and can be paid at the school office or by direct credit into our school bank account 03 172 6000 6940 00. Please ensure you include your child’s name and Georgies in the details. Regular bookings on a term basis are preferred however casual bookings will be accepted if 24 hours notice is given and space allows (numbers will be limited). Please write “as notified” in the bookings area of the enrolment form if casual bookings are required.
