Enrolment

To process an application to enrol parents may wish to make contact with the Principal in the first instance, rod@georgestreet.school.nz , or complete the attached PDF enrolment forms. In accordance with rules set by the New Zealand Ministry of Education a school fee may or may not be applicable, depending on each child’s residency status and allowable official exceptions.

CODE of PRACTICE:

George Street Normal School is a signatory to the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students published by the Minister of Education. Copies of the Code are available on request from this institution or from the Ministry of Education website http://www.minedu.govt.nz/goto/international

ENROLMENT:

Please visit or contact the school and express an interest in enrolment. You are invited to make an appointment to meet with the Principal and ESOL co-ordinator.

You are asked to make available:

• Your passport
• Your child’s passport with a student permit
• Your child’s birth certificate
• An immunisation record
• Evidence of insurance – travel and medical
• Evidence that students will be living with parents or legal guardians

These will be photocopied and kept on file.
