Megan Greer (BEd) - Middle Team Leader

Megan teaches in room 11 and is also our fantastic Middle Team Leader.  She welcomes everyone into her class in a warm and friendly way.  Having taught in a number of schools, Megan brings her vast experience to the Middle Team.  She has strengths in literacy and numeracy and loves to bring her passion for visual art and digital technology into her classroom programme.

Trina Wood (BA, DipTchg)

Trina welcomes her children each day with a lovely friendly smile.  She is Reading Recovery trained and has strengths in literacy and numeracy.  Trina has a passion for art which she loves to share with her students as well as digital technology.

Leonie Spencer (BA, BEd)

Leonie enjoys getting to know each child and their whānau. She values children’s individuality and cultural diversity and aims to make them proud of who they are. She encourages teamwork and cooperation, assisting the development of people skills. Leonie has strengths in social sciences, literacy and te Reo Māori. She is currently upskilling her te Reo and is working towards a certificate in Teaching English as an Additional Language.  Leonie shares teaching in room 10 with Linda King.

Linda King (BEd)

Linda is an experienced and enthusiastic teacher who believes in forming positive relationships with all her students.  She has strengths in numeracy and literacy and wants to install a love of learning in her classroom.  Linda is passionate about music and the performing arts and also takes one of our school choir groups.  Linda shares teaching room 10 with Leonie Spencer.

Claire Harper (BEd, DipTchg)

Claire has taught in a number of schools both in New Zealand and around the world and is a very adaptable teacher having taught from year 2 to year 8.  She is passionate about encouraging all of her learners to reach their potential.  She values the whole person and forms positive relationships with her students and their families.  Claire's classroom program focuses on developing the skills of collaboration, creativity, communication and critical thinking.  She enjoys teaching all areas of the curriculum with particular interest in maths, inquiry and the arts (particularly dance and visual arts).

Catherine Smith (BA Hons, PhD, Grad Dip Ed)

Catherine enjoys getting to know all the children in her class as individuals and creates a happy, supportive environment for learning.  She has strengths in teaching literacy and provides hands-on, engaging learning experiences.  Catherine loves learning and her latest course has been te reo Māori through Te Wānanga o Aotearoa.

Kylie O'Brien (BCom, Grad DipTchg (Primary))

Kylie joined our teaching (kaiako) team in 2020 and has a diverse teaching background having taught across years 1 - 10 in the private and public sectors.  With special interests and strengths in mathematics, integrated curriculum, second language learning and physical education, Kylie enjoys engaging with all learners as individuals, and works to develop strong student agency in her class programmes.  Kylie shares the role of Sports Coordinator for our school this year.

Grace Dore (BTchg)

Grace is passionate about developing relationships with her children and believes this is at the heart of teaching.  She endeavours to create a warm and welcoming classroom environment where everyone can learn and grow together.  Grace loves teaching literacy and enjoys collaborative teaching.  She particularly enjoys welcoming ESOL students into her class.  For term 1, Grace shares Room 18 with Leonie Spencer and teaches on Monday, Tuesday and Friday.

Leonie Spencer (BA, BEd)

Leonie enjoys getting to know each child and their whānau. She values children’s individuality and cultural diversity and aims to make them proud of who they are. Aki Poor 

Aki is a fabulous teaching assistant working in both our Junior and Middle Teams.  Aki loves working with our children and has a real strength in building positive relationships with them.  You will often see Aki out in the playground during break times spending time and playing with our children.

Claire has worked for many years providing amazing additional support for our younger learners.  She has a passion for seeing children grow and see themselves as successful learners.

Kate McCracken

Kate is passionate about learning and helping children to learn.  She loves the diverse cultures in our school and enjoys working with children who are learning English as a second language.  Kate is trained in English language learning and has spent the past 2 years studying Te Reo at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa.

Donna greets all of our children with a lovely welcome each day.  She is passionate about her work and is skilled at working with children of all ages.  Donna works across a number of the teams in our school.
