Board of Trustees Elections 2019

Every three years, our school community has the opportunity to elect a Board of Trustees. This group of five parent-elected members, (and one or more co-opted members, as required), one staff-elected member and the Principal, are charged with setting the overall strategic direction for our school. They ensure everything is done as well as possible to provide a safe, supportive learning environment and quality education for students.

The George Street Normal School Board of Trustees election will be held on Friday 7 June and we are currently seeking nominations for five parent-elected board members.

Participating in the governance of our school is a good way to get involved in your child’s education and we welcome your participation, especially if you have: ∙ a commitment to the George Street Normal School community ∙ good communication skills ∙ the ability to work well in a team environment ∙ energy and passion for education ∙ specific skill-sets useful to our school, e.g., law, finance, property, HR or marketing.
