Parent Teacher Association

The George Street Normal School Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a friendly group of parents and teachers who support our school. We are always looking for new members and welcome all our families and the new ideas that they bring. However we realise that many families have very busy lives and not much spare time. For those families who would like to be involved with our school and meet other parents, but who are unable to join the PTA committee at this time, 'Friends of the PTA' (see below) is ideal. If you able to spare an hour of your time to help at a disco or provide some baking occasionally for events, you could be our friend! If you are a wizz at sausage sizzles or have some brilliant ideas for fundraising at our school, we would love to hear from you. We have established a database using email and mobile phone contacts to keep you up to date with events coming up and to give you the opportunity to help out and be involved. If you can’t commit to regular meetings, but would like to offer occasional help throughout the year, this a great way to be included. Thank you to everyone who is willing to offer a little time every now and again, as the saying goes ‘Many hands make light work'.

Our next PTA meeting is on Monday 13 February 2017 in the school staffroom at 7.30pm, everyone is warmly invited.
