Sporting Activities
George Street Normal School offers a wide range of sporting opportunities for children at school and outside the school in after school and weekend competitions. Before each season begins children are notified of the options available and teams are made up of those interested where there are sufficient numbers.

School sports uniforms can be purchased from the school office. The tops are $25 and the shorts $25.

| Camp | 5 day programme at Camp Iona, 20 minutes south of Oamaru. Activities include canoeing, abseiling, tramping, search & rescue, confidence course, cookout and cooperative games. |

| Swimming | All children attend 8 days of lessons at the D.N.I. Pool with the Jill Clarke Swim School |
