Principal - Robyn Wood (MEDLeadership (Hons), BEd (teaching)

Robyn has a wealth of leadership experience and in particular leading change.  She builds strong interpersonal relationships and has recognised strengths in literacy (and in particular accelerating children's writing achievement), student agency, integrated inquiry learning and special needs.  She is particularly interested in educational research and student-centred leadership.  Robyn has a large pastoral heart for both students and staff.

Robyn has an open door and welcomes kōrero with whānau and families. 

Deputy Principal - Leanne Stanton (BEd, PGDipEd, DipTchg, Dip ESOL)

Leanne is our highly capable and very experienced Deputy Principal.  She is also the Special Needs Coordinator in our school and has a passion for students with different learning needs.  Leanne coordinates our team of Teaching Assistants and ensures the children's needs are being met.  On top of this, Leanne has a special interest in student leadership.  Leanne is a former recipient of the University of Otago Emily Pankhurst Award.

Rito Team Leader - Michele Dakers (B.Ed, DipTchg)

Michele is our amazing Junior Team Leader.  She is fortunate to work with a group of collaborative, dedicated and fabulous teachers.  She has had a leadership role in our school for over ten years and enjoys getting to know children and their families.  Michele has an interest in I.T. and enjoys developing resources to help facilitate collaborative teaching and learning.

Tūī Team Leader - Ruth Pereira (Bcom, GradDipTchg (Primary))

Ruth is our fantastic Tūī Team Leader. A passionate teacher, Ruth understands the importance of building strong, positive relationships with students and their whānau. She motivates and hooks students into learning by valuing their voice and providing engaging learning experiences. Ruth has strengths in literacy, numeracy and physical education, and enjoys tutoring our Pasifika performance group. 

Kōrari (Models) Team Leadership - Jo Henderson

Jo is an experienced teacher who has been part of the Models team for over twelve years. She teaches Years 1-3 in one of the Junior models classes. She enjoys working alongside the teachers in the team in the unique environment that the Models offer. It is very special to be part of a child's education journey from the time they start school and follow them through until they leave. 

Jo is also our ELL coordinator and this year has responsibility for our newly formed Kākano class for 4 year olds.
