Futsal

Futsal Term 1 2024- registrations close Sunday 4th February at 6pm Link to registration  the cost this year is $50.00  payment will need to be made by 9th February.

Futsal is a popular sport at George Street Normal School and is offered to children in Years 0 - 6 and held at Edgar Sports Centre (116 Portsmouth Drive, Anderson Bay) each week.

Days may change due to court availability and numbers, but currently games will be played:

Years 1-4 - Tuesday 13th February - April 9th

Years 5-8 - Wednesday 14th February - April 10th

Term 1 competition begins on Tuesday 13th and Wednesday 14th February games run for 9 weeks.

Parents will need to take responsibility for transporting their child to and from the Edgar Centre each week.

Tuesday games take place sometime between 3.30pm–7.00pm

Wednesday games take place sometime between 3:30pm -6:00pm

Football South would also like to point out that there may be a need to move certain divisions to different days depending on court availability and the number of registrations. They will only do this if needed and will give you plenty of notice to reduce any inconvenience.

The draw will be posted on Hero each week, but it is recommend to have the team manager send out this information to all parents each week as well.

The cost to play Futsal in Term 1  - $50.00  which includes registration and entry to the Edgar Centre.

Sports uniforms are available at the school office to hire for the duration of the Futsal competition ($20.00) or you can purchase a GSNS sports top for $30 and GSNS sports shorts (while we have them in stock) for $25.

All children require shin guards and long socks.

Each team needs to have a parent to sub children on and off the court. This job can be shared among parents. If you are able to COACH a team, we would love you to do so! Practice only needs to be 20 minutes and can be at lunchtime or after school.

If your child is keen to play and able to commit to the competition please fill in the registration form by SUNDAY 4TH FEBRUARY- payment will need to be made by 9th FEBRUARY once team numbers have been finalised.
